Best Rectangle Sleeping Bags

Last Modified: 11/27/2023

Here you have my selection of best rectangle sleeping bags that offer lots of space to sprawl and some can also be unzipped and used as blankets.

Best Rectangle Sleeping Bags top picture.

Rectangular sleeping bags offer far more space than mummy-type sleeping bags, but they are also bulky and heavy. This is normal to expect for such large items. So indeed most of the bags here in the list are with such features, and this means they are most suitable for car camping and not to be carried on the trail. But you will see some that are light enough for a backpack.

Typically, rectangular sleeping bags are with a full length zipper on one side and on the bottom, so you can unzip such a bag and use as a blanket when you sit in the camp or in the bed as well.

Most of them are very warm and suitable for the most extreme conditions and for a cold environment in general, like the one shown in the top picture above. But even among them you have differences, and a hood is one of them. So do not miss to choose a bag with a hood if you expect really cold weather in the camp. There are several excellent options of this type here in the text.
