Become a Guest Author at Mountains for Everybody Site

Last Modified: 12/01/2023

This site is all about providing first-hand information about mountaineering, climbing, and hiking routes, as outlined in my About page. So all my texts follow this principle, and all photos about mountains are my own.

Obviously, my experience is limited and I cannot provide enough information. So you are welcome to become a mountaineering Guest Author. The only condition is that the text is original and not a duplicate text, and it must be your personal first-hand experience. This can be any mountain in the world, and any kind of route (mountaineering, hiking, hut to hut route, day route to hut, etc.).

Do you feel you are not a good writer? Perhaps English is not your native? Well, I am not a writer myself, I am a physicist, and English is not my native language. So no worry, compose a text and I shall help if necessary and if you ask me, otherwise, it will remain as you write it. This is about providing useful information for those who go to mountains. When I plan a route, I try to find personal stories about it, and I am happy when I find any.

So please get in touch with me, either through the Contact page given in the site, or through the comments section below.

How this is going to work

The idea is to provide useful information for readers, so it should not be complicated, here are some suggestions:

  • Make a file in any editable format, in MSWord, Notepad, etc, and send it to me. It does not have to be big, any text in the range 300 – 3000 words is good, but if it is bigger this is not a problem. Just to be able to compare, this invitation here is a text of 440 words.
  • Photos are most welcome as usual, they provide useful information. So prepare some, they should not be big, say maximum 1000 pixels width, but in any case, I can make them small myself.
  • If you have a YouTube video, please provide a link.
  • If you have made a Google Map for the route, this is great.
  • Any other additional information is also welcome.
  • I shall be happy to add your photo at the beginning of the text.
  • Your name as the Guest Editor will be clearly indicated.

In this text, you can see one great example, a text added to the site by Martin Olsen.

Please note the following: This is not about selling or exchanging backlinks, so no need to contact me if this is what you need.

So please share your experience, and thank you in advance. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Spread the love

Hi, first off, I want to say that I’ve watched lots of your videos lately, especially the ones about mountain shelters.
I plan on travelling to Italy later this year with some friends, we though it’d be really cool to plan a 2 day hike and spend the night in a shelter/hut/bivouac.
I should note that we are students from Eastern Europe, with little experience. We plan to travel by train and we’re not really familiar with Italy.
We would need a route that’s easily accessible by train (or maybe a short car ride from a nearby city), and an easy to moderate hike. As I said, we don’t have much experience, but we’re all fit.
I tried searching for a couple of routes I’ve seen in videos, but I’m not familiar with Italy’s railway system and cities, so I couldn’t really come to any conclusion yet.
I’m contacting you because I want to hear your opinion/advice. Do you think it would be possible for us to do something like this? Can you think of a place that fits our requirements?
Thank you for taking the time to read this, any help is much appreciated. I’d be happy to answer any further questions, just let me know.

Hi Maro, I remember my first trip of that kind, well before you were born, in 1986 I took a train and vent to Slovenia solo without knowing the area at all and without any equipment. So yes I shall be happy to help as I understand you well.

I could suggest an endless list of options for you, but train travel is a big limiting factor, Italian Alps cover a large area but train access is quite limited in particular in view of your planned two-day trip which is quite short. Tell me when you plan to travel, this is important because going early may cause issue with snow.

Hi, thank you for replying! We plan on travelling sometime during early-middle September.

Hi, it is to find something appropriate for train trip and such a short tour. But here are some options:

      1. If you go to Italy through Austria, then stop in Tarvisio and then take a bus or taxi to Sella Nevea pass and continue to Rifugio Brazza under Jof di Montasio. You can stay in the hut or continue to Bivacco Luca Vuerich which is always open and one of the most attractive I have seen. Here is the link to read more:

      https://mountainsforeverybody.com/climbing-foronon-del-buinc-bivacco-luca-vuerich

You do not need special equipment for this tour, but in the case of snow, do not go! If you have question about this tour, contact me only through the comment section under that post.

You can also go to Bivaco Suringar instead:

      https://mountainsforeverybody.com/bivacco-suringar

The came here, if you have questions, ask only through the comments under that post.

      2. If you are passing through Slovenia, no need to continue to Italy. Go to Jesenice and then take a buss to Mojstrana and yet another to Vrata valley. You can stay in Aljaz hut. But you can also continue and stay in Bivak IV.

      https://mountainsforeverybody.com/bivak-iv-skrlatica-bivak-na-rusju

Questions? Ask through comment section there.

You can also visit some other bivouacs around. You will find them in the map here:

      https://mountainsforeverybody.com/huts-and-free-shelters-in-julian-alps

I have visited many of them, so if you have questions ask through comment sections there.

      God luck.

The North Face Wawona 4p tent review spec’s are incorrect.
Actual Peak Interior Height: 72 inches (not 68 inches)!

Hi Rodney, thank you for the comment. The number 68 inches is official, from The North Face site. But the situation is not completely clear. The 72 inches is probably the exterior peak height.

I have a website thermogears.com where I review the latest night and thermal vision technologies, products, and gears that are used for home & garden improvement, health, pets, outdoor, travel, hunting, and other fields. So for my website, I am looking for a sponsorship guest post.

If you are accepting sponsor guest post. Can you tell me how much will you charge for a post?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks

Hi Kim, you have built a great site. I am not sure what you mean by sponsorship guest post, it may imply a couple of different things, but those are different from the purpose of this Guest Author thread.

Hi Edward, please note that my invitation for guest authors is not for backlinking purposes. I would remove the links which would have such a purpose.
