Here you have my selection of Swiss Alps Tours to some relatively easy 4000 meters high mountains to climb in one or two days. I climbed these mountains myself so keep reading.
Climbing Breithorn Zermatt
Breithorn (4164 m) is one of the giants in the Zermatt area in Wallis, Switzerland. Nowadays, climbing Breithorn is just a simple glacier walk from Klein Matterhorn lift station. This route is described here.
Climbing Fluela Schwarzhorn in Swiss Alps
I planned climbing Fluela Schwarzhorn from the moment I saw it first from the Fluela Pass several years ago, and I finally did it recently. This is my report about the tour, so keep reading.
Lagginhorn – Simple yet Deadly 4000er
Lagginhorn (4010 m) is sometimes described as an ‘easy 4000er’. I would say climbing it is rather straightforward. Most of the time you see almost all the route as soon as you are above the forest area.
Barrhorn the Highest Snow-Free Mountain in the Alps
With 3610 m of altitude, Barrhorn is definitely a very high mountain in the Alps, and yet the normal route to the summit is usually completely without snow in the summertime. By saying ‘snow-free’ I mean the absence of permanent snow on the route.
