Fleece Sleeping Bags for Adults

Last Modified: 01/16/2022

Here you have my selection of the best fleece sleeping bags for adults, some with very unique features, and all of them incredibly comfortable and machine washable.

Fleece Sleeping Bags for Adults

I wish to stress that these are not lightweight fleece sleeping bags, and this is because of several good reasons. i) Some of them are multi-layer type, so you can have 2 or 3 bags in one. On the other hand, ii) they are very large, and iii) they are also with a great temperature rating. This all implies lots of material, so the weight is justified.

When this is about the fleece which is in focus here, you can have it as a standard inner layer of the bag, so this is a very comfortable but classic design regarding the overall structure.

However, as mentioned some of these bags are with several bags that are one inside the other. In this case, the term fleece bag describes the innermost bag in such a multi-layer structure.

The sleeping pads in the list are ordered by their weight, from lighter to heavier:

  1. TETON Sports Polara 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag
  2. Guide Gear Fleece Lined Sleeping Bag
  3. Coleman All-Weather Multi-Layer Sleeping Bag
  4. Guide Gear Fleece Lined Double Sleeping Bag
  5.

Below you have only some basic data about each of the bags in the list, so please follow the links to my full texts for more information.

1. TETON Sports Polara 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag

TETON Sports Polara 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag
TETON Sports Polara 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag.

The TETON Sports Polara 3-in-1 Sleeping Bag is in fact two bags in one. Of importance for this text is the inner bag because this is a polar fleece sleeping bag, or more precisely PolarLite Fleece bag. This explains the word Polara in the name.

The phrase 3-in-1 means that you can use both inner and outer bags together, and also separately. But there is more to this. You can unzip both of them and use as blankets, and again this can be separately or together. So you have an incredibly versatile product here.

The official temperature rating is 0˚F (-18 ˚C), and this makes it a 3 to 4 season sleeping bag. You have a synthetic insulation and its weight is moderate for such a material and for this rating, it weighs 6.5 lb (2.95 kg).

Its overall dimensions are 82 x 36 inches (208 x 91 cm) and the packed size (L x D) is 17.5 x 12 inches (44 x 30 cm).

2. Guide Gear Fleece Lined Sleeping Bag

In this sleeping bag you have a standard inner layer (liner) that is a fleece. This is also a very large bag, its overall dimensions are 90 x 39 inches (229 x 99 cm). So you have plenty of a soft and pleasant space to sprawl.

Note that the bag is with hood so you have full protection. This is reflected in its official temperature rating which is -15 F (-26 C). So this is a bag for extreme cold. It is also very affordable. The bag weighs 11 lb (5 kg).

3. Coleman All-Weather Multi-Layer Sleeping Bag

Coleman All-Weather Multi-Layer Sleeping Bag.
Coleman All-Weather Multi-Layer Sleeping Bag.

The Coleman All-Weather Multi-Layer Sleeping Bag is more versatile than any other known to me. See the word Multi-Layer in its official name. The meaning is that you have 3 bags that fit in each other.

So imagine, you can use them all together or all separate, or 2 of any of them combined. But wait, there is more. All of them can be fully unzipped and used as blankets. This means you can have 14 possible combinations, and this should work in all weather conditions, this explains the phrase All-Weather in the name.

For this text, of importance is the innermost bag because this is fleece. The other two layers are synthetic sleeping bags, I mean with synthetic fill and with polyester shell.

The bag is rectangular type and observe that there is no hood. It is easy to maintain and to clean, it is machine washable. The weight is 12.55 lb (5.7 kg), and its overall dimensions are 79 x 36 inches (201 x 91 cm).

4. Guide Gear Fleece Lined Double Sleeping Bag

Guide Gear Fleece Lined Double Sleeping Bag.

Here you have a double-wide sleeping bag, and the dimensions are 80 x 50 inches (203 x 127 cm). So this is a bag that you can use with your partner, or solo if you want plenty of space to sprawl.

The shell is a strong 210T ripstop polyester and the lining is a 200 g/m² single-sided non-pilling fleece. The insulation is a 6D blended siliconized fiber.

The official temperature rating is 20 F (-7 C), so this is a 3-season sleeping bag. It weighs 10.6 lb (4.8 kg) and this is reasonable for a bag of this size.

Final thoughts

So this was my selection of the best fleece sleeping bags for adults, and the list will be updated whenever I find a sleeping bag that deserves to be included here. This is why you might want to bookmark this post and visit is again when you find time.

As you see, you have some incredibly versatile products and all of them are with truly fair price tags. These are camping sleeping bags so they are not build for the trail. You can certainly use them at home as well. You have seen that they can be unzipped so use them as blankets if you feel claustrophobic in a sleeping bag.
