Here I have prepared for you my selection of Eureka 4 person tents suitable for car camping, in a variety of styles and for various weather conditions.
I wonder if you know, but Eureka brand has been around since 1895. There are no many outdoor brands that can match this. Their tents have been used also by Hillary in some of his Himalayan expeditions to Nepal.
Mountaineers of the first all American Mt. Everest expedition were using Eureka tents. They still build strong tents for extreme conditions.
So here is my list of best-rated Eureka 4 person camping tents ordered by weight from lighter to heavier:
The list includes dome tents and cabin type tents. All are easy to use and reliable.
1. Eureka Kohana 4 Person Tent
This Eureka Kohana 4 Person Tent is a very typical example of a dome-type shelter with a full-coverage fly that creates 2 vestibules. The tent comes with aluminum poles, two of them are X-crossed as usual for such a type, but there are also two short poles that partly support the vestibules and make them higher.
The mentioned fly is with a very good waterproof rating, so you have a full protection in a 3-season use. Ventilation is optimal for such a type, there are several low and high vents.
The weight is 9 lb 3 oz (4.17 kg), so it may be light enough even to carry it on shorter tours if participants share the weight. The inner floored area is 60 ft² (5.6 m²), and the two vestibules add 16 + 16 ft² (1.49 + 1.49 m²).
The tent is low profile and aerodynamic, its peak height is 56 inches (142 cm). So it will perform great even in very windy places.
2. Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent
This tent looks like a hybrid between a dome and a cabin tent. This is because it is supported with quality aluminum poles that are pre bent. Here you have two extra cross poles that make the side walls completely vertical. Because of this, you have far more volume inside than in a standard dome type tent.
It also has a massive full coverage fly that creates two asymmetric vestibules. The front vestibule is with dual zippers, and it allows for an awning configuration.
There are several vents on the vestibule, so the tent is well ventilated, and you also have plenty of protected space for storage of gear.
The weight is 13 lb 14.4 oz (6.29 kg), so this is not something to carry long distances. The floor area is 60 ft² (5.6 m²), and the two vestibules add 16.5 + 12 ft² (1.5 + 1.1 m²).
3. Eureka Assault Outfitter 4 Person Tent
This is a tent for severe weather conditions, so it is built strong and low profile. The inner floored area is 63.8 ft² (5.9 m²), but it has two vestibules, so the total protected area is 93.8 ft² (8.6 m²). This is quite a lot for such a dome-style tent.
You have a full coverage fly and its waterproof rating is 3000 mm. The floor is with 5000 mm rating, and this is a 210D fabric. The tent is supported with three aluminum poles and their diameter is 13 mm. So now you realize why the tent is suitable for harsh conditions.
The inner tent is a taffeta, and you only have two small mesh sections that have panels to close when needed. Such a design makes it suitable for all-year use.
The weight is 14 lb 13 oz (6.7 kg), and the packed size is excellent (L x D) 22 x 8 inches (56 x 20 cm).
4. Eureka Copper Canyon LX 4 Person Tent
This tent is a great example of a cabin-type tent. It is the smallest in their Copper Canyon series that includes also 6, 8, and 12 person tents.
You have straight and nearly vertical walls, and the height of the tent is incredible 84 inches (213 cm). So you have a stand up height practically everywhere. This together with its large windows on all the sides makes it very pleasant and comfortable.
Such a structure tells you that this is a typical summer camping tent. So avoid harsh conditions with a lot of rain and wind. The tent is also fully freestanding, and you have an electricity port and a gear loft available.
The weight is 19 lb 4.96 oz (8.76 kg), and the area is 64.6 square feet (6 m²).
5. Eureka Jade Canyon X 4 Person Tent
Here you have yet another great example of a cabin type tent, It is very tall and pleasant, the peak height is impressive 84 inches (213 cm). The tent is supported with a quality frame that includes a combination of steel legs poles and aluminum poles on the roof.
There is one door, and windows are on all its sides. Observe that you have an overhanging fly that protects the windows. The tent is on the heavy side with its 21 lb 3.2 oz (9.61 kg), but this is a car camping tent so the weight is not a big deal.
The inner floored area is 64 ft² (5.9 m²) and its dimensions are (L x W) 96 x 96 inches (244 x 244 cm). This tent is also in my list of best 4 person cabin tents.
Final thoughts
So this was my selection of Eureka 4 person tents, the list will be updated whenever I find something from this brand that is worth adding here. This is why you might want to bookmark this text and visit it occasionally.
You have seen them all, so how to choose?
I think the choice is not so complicated. If you expect lots of rain and wind in the area where you camp, you should definitely choose one of those low profile and aerodynamic tents with a full coverage fly. These tents will protect you and also your gear in their large vestibules.
But if you want more comfort and a tent for a quiet summer camping weather, go for higher tents that have more head space and views around. You have some great options here.
In any case, you have a reliable brand behind these tents so you know what you are buying, Let me know if you have questions, there is a comment box below.
