Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent

Last Modified: 04/18/2025

The Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent is supported with quality aluminum poles, and it is with a full coverage fly that creates two vestibules with vents. You also have plenty of protected space for storage of gear.

Key features & benefits

  • Modified dome design.
  • 2 Vestibules.
  • 2 Doors.
  • Aluminum poles.
  • Many storage pockets.
  • Ventilated.

What is in the name

Here you have a tent that is a sort of a modified dome structure which includes pre-bent poles. So you have more head room than in any simple dome tent. The side poles are almost straight so it looks like a cabin tent.

This is how the tent looks without the fly.

As you realize from the picture, the two short poles make the side walls completely vertical. This together with the interior peak height of 68 inches (173 cm) make the tent very pleasant and roomy. Two large doors are on the opposite sides.

The fly is a full coverage type, and it includes two asymmetric vestibules. The front vestibule is with dual zippers on the sides, so it allows for an awning setup with the help of extra poles. The picture below shows how this looks.

Below you can see how the vestibule flap can be rolled up and kept out of way. You still have the wind shields on the sides, so here you can cook when it is raining and windy outside.

The rear vestibule is with one central zipper, and below you can see how you can use it and still have a wind shield.

Storage features

The mentioned vestibules are a part of the storage elements here. But you also have two gear lofts shown in the picture below.

In addition to this, you also have a series of 10 low and high wall pockets to store your stuff. You will see them in the video below.

Materials

The poles: You have them four, and this is a 7000-series aluminum with the diameter of 13 millimeters. They attach through grommets in the corners, clips in the middle, and sleeves on the roof.

The fabric: The canopy is a 68D 185T polyester taffeta and mesh, and the floor is the same material with a 1800 mm waterproof rating. The fly is also a 68D ripstop polyester but with a 1500 mm rating.

Ventilation

You have three fly vents here, so this should work well against condensation in the tent. In addition to this, they have designed one of the vestibule flaps so that you can roll it up and this will increase vertical air flow. You will see this in the video below. So there is not much really that one could object here.

Please see more in this short video:

Who is it for

Regarding the best use & climate, this is a 3-season tent, with quality poles and fabric. Its ventilation is almost optimal and the shape is reasonably aerodynamic, so there is no doubt it will perform well in any weather conditions.

Regarding the size, you have the inner area of 60 ft² (5.6 m²) and the dimensions are shown below. This is just a bit more than in the Big Agnes Spicer Peak 4 Tent which also has two vestibules. You can compare it also with NEMO Aurora Highrise 4 Person Tent that has a bit more.

So it can indeed accommodate four people. The two vestibules add a lot of space for your gear and they are larger than in the mentioned Big Agnes tent.

Floor plan.

Regarding the weight, the tent cannot be described as very light with its 13 lb 14.4 oz (6.29 kg). But I do not think this is a big deal, it is built to be used as a car camping tent. It is lighter than the NEMO Aurora Highrise 4 Person Tent.

The packed size is very good, the numbers are below, and the carry bag is nicely designed, see how it looks:

Regarding the price, it is quite steep, but this is a quality tent and you have a reliable brand behind it, so you know what you are buying.

In summary, this Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent is very nicely designed, functional, and reliable. You have lots of space for gear, two doors, quality aluminum poles, and a massive fly for full protection.
