Spluga Pass (Splügen Pass, Spluegen Pass, Passo dello Spluga) is a mountain road pass between Italy and Switzerland with plenty of attractive hiking and mountaineering routes in particular on the Italian side.
Climbing Pizzo d’Emet (Piz Timun)
If you plan to climb Pizzo Emet (Piz Timun) it is best to start from the east side of the Lago Montespluga. This is the route I followed, and it is described here.
Pizzo Quadro (Cima de Pian Guarnei)
The easiest way to climb Pizzo Quadro, known also as Cima de Pian Guarnei, is to start from Starleggia village which is above the Spluga road on its west side. This east ridge route is the one I followed, and it is described here.
