The manufacturer describes this sleeping bag as 3-in-1 and also as 4-in-1. I would say it is even more than this, and here is why:
- You have a double wide sleeping bag with a zipper on the perimeter on its 3 sides. But note that each half of the bags is with a different temperature rating, see the picture.
- You can use any of the two sides as the upper side and this will give you two different temperature rating options for such double-wide use. Note that the bottom side is pressed with the body so its temperature rating is less important, it is the upper side that counts most.
- But, you can also unzip its two sides and then fold each of them and use them as 2 separate single sleeping bags. Such two solo sleeping bags have different temperature ratings.
- You can also use the two separate sides as ordinary blankets with two different temperature ratings. This is very convenient if this is about summer camping so you do not need a classic sleeping bag.
- These blankets you can use in the camp during chili evenings to cover your body when sitting or doing simple tasks in the camp.
From all this you realize this is a very versatile and functional product that can be used in 6 different ways as 2 double-bags with different ratings, 2 solo bags, and 2 solo blankets. Of course, if you do not like sleeping in a solo bag, you can use both blankets together for a solo use.
Materials
There are some inconsistencies in the descriptions around. On Amazon, they write about a polycotton shell combined with a 100% brushed cotton flannel liner, and with a cotton insulation. However, on the site of the brand, they write about cotton shell and SuperLoft Elite hollow fiber.
Perhaps they had different materials in the past, or somebody was simply careless. Assuming that the information on their site is correct, you have a synthetic insulation material that performs great in any climate and weather conditions. But you would not want the cotton shell to become wet.
The bag is warm and pleasant and its official temperature rating is +20 ˚F/+40 ˚F (-7 ˚C/4 ˚C) dependent on how you use it. There is no carry bag but you have compression straps included.

Regarding the size, if used as a double-wide sleeping bag, with its 80 x 70 inches (203 x 178 cm) dimensions it is large enough for two adults. It is slightly wider that the Browning Camping Side-by-Side 0 Degree Double Sleeping Bag which is also 5-in-1 modular design.
Even when you use it as two separate solo bags, the width is 89 cm, so this is a large rectangular bag. When its two sides are used as separate blankets, they are wide enough for solo use.
Regarding the best use, seasons & climate, this is a true 3 season sleeping bag, and the features mentioned above make it really versatile and suitable for all conditions in a 3-season use. Note that there is no hood, so this affects its thermal efficiency.
Regarding the weight, the bag is heavy with its 12 lb (5.4 kg). But it is not built to be carried anywhere so this does not really matter.
The packed size depends on how you pack it. Officially this is (L x D) 34 x 11 inches (86 x 28 cm). For this, you fold it to half its width and simply roll it up. All in all, this is a camping bag for places with a car access.
Regarding the price, this sleeping bag is incredibly affordable. You have seen its features, so this is a great value for the money.
