Here you have my list of best mountains to climb in the Slovenian Alps, I share my first-hand experience from the peaks that I climbed myself.
Climbing Jalovec in the Slovenian Alps
Climbing Jalovec in the Slovenian Alps has been my desire for several decades, so finally I did it this year from the Vrsic Pass. Here is my report about this great mountain.
Climbing Bavski Grintavec from Soca (Slovenian Alps)
Here you have my report on climbing Bavski Grintavec (2347 m) from Soca village. This is a long whole-day walk-up tour because of its start point that is at a low elevation, and the elevation difference is more than 1850 meters.
Climbing Razor Mountain (Slovenian Alps)
If you plan climbing Razor (2601 m) in the Slovenian Alps, here you have the description of a few of the routes. This is a demanding climb and you will need this information.
Vrsic Pass (Vršič Pass) – Russian Road in Slovenian Alps
The Vrsic Pass is written in original Slovenian as Vršič, in Italian as Passo della Moistrocca, and in German as Werschetzpas. With its 1611 meters of elevation (5285 ft) it may not look so high in comparison with other great passes in the Alps like the Stelvio or Gavia passes, but it is very attractive.
