Do you know how to cook meal with a can of tuna? The question may sound strange to you, but it become clear to me after watching a short video that attracted millions of views on YouTube.
Due to some strange reason the video was removed from YouTube. The guy used unscented toilet paper sheets with a can of tuna and lighted them up. The purpose of the paper is to start burning the oil from the can. Then he cooked the rice, but the best part was in the end. The content of the can, which served as the fuel (in fact the oil only was the fuel), remained edible and he added it to the rice.
So I wanted to test it myself, bought a can of tuna in oil, and made a fire on my terrace. Below are a few photos showing my own setup and the result:
Just a small warning if you do this on the terrace as I did. There is a bit of black smoke from the fire, and you can smell it in the air. So make sure you do not disturb your neighbors, they might call firefighters. It is best to try it outside. The flame is quite strong, so use a pot with metal handle(s).
In any case, this works. I had my rice and tuna for lunch without a gas burner. A great idea when you are in emergency situations.
