Key features & benefits

  • 2 Heating pads.
  • 4 Adjustable heat settings.
  • ZipPlow zipper snag-free design.
  • Synthetic insulation.
  • Ripstop fabric.
  • Battery included.
  • Machine washable.
  • Incredible price.

What is in the name

Heating system

So the word OneSource here implies the fact that the bag comes with Coleman’s 4800 mAh lithium-ion battery which can be used with many of their products. This includes a heated chair, a heated blanket, lanterns, a fan, etc. Read more in my separate text. So the battery itself is a bonus, and you can use it with many of their products, and also to charge your phone.

The bag has two heating pads designed for the feet zone and for the the upper part, so you can heat these two sensitive areas. This is indicated in the picture below.

You have the following heating sets:

  • For 2 hours on high (107 F, 42 C).
  • For 2.5 hours on medium (103 F, 39 C).
  • For 4 hours on low (96 F, 36 C).
  • For 3 hours on pulse setting (low to high).

The bag comes with dual port battery dock shown below that holds up to 2 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. So if you order one extra or more batteries, you can easily double the runtimes mentioned above. This is convenient because you can also charge your other gadgets from the same source.

Bag materials

This is a synthetic and semi-rectangular sleeping bag. The insulation is what they call the Coletherm insulation that provides better heat retention with less weight. The bag is hooded, so this together with its tapered shape, adds a lot to its thermal efficiency.

Note also that you have an offset quilt construction to avoid cold spots. They have added their Thermolock draft tube to prevents heat loss through the zipper. The zipper is with their ZipPlow design shown below, which means a snag-free opening and closing.

The fabric is a durable ripstop-reinforced polyester. All this is machine washable after you remove the heating pads, wires, dock, and battery.

With all this, they claim the sleeping bag is suitable for temperatures of 32 F (0 C). Please see more about the pad in this short video:

Who is it for

Regarding the best use & climate, you have already seen its features, so there is no doubt this is a sleeping bag for 3 seasons.

Regarding the size, they write that it is suitable for users of up to 6 ft 2 in (188 cm). So many of your family members can use it.

Regarding the weight, the bag weighs 3.85 lb (1.75 kg), so this is not an item to be carried on the trail. I see it as a camping item and to be used at places where you would not carry it in the pack. It is a bit bulky when packed, the dimensions are (L x D) 16.5 x 10.25 inches (42 x 26 cm).

Regarding the price, it is very good for such a sleeping bag, and remember also that you have a battery included.
