Last Modified: 12/03/2023

In this Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 review, I present a super light (hence SL in the name) 3-season, freestanding backpacking tent for 2 people, and also the solo version. This is a two-layer tent, with the mesh body which offers an excellent ventilation.

Conclusion & rating

I hope this Big Agnes Seedhouse SL2 review was useful to you. This is a good tent, and I myself would use any of the two models presented here, but the 2-person model I would preferably use as a solo tent.

This is a 2-person tent but in my view, this is too small for such a purpose, you will feel quite cramped here. A similar objection I have for many tents of that type, see the list given for comparison below.

We’ve had 2 man Seedtent for about 15 years. It is great for summer trips when you don’t have much extra gear but it is small. We’re going to buy a bigger 2 man tent for ski touring so we can bring a few things into the tent with us.

I liked visiting your site. It is well organized and easy to read. I like that you explained some of the climbers terms because I don’t know much about climbing. I found it interesting and well written. The font made it very comfortable to read. Your placement of images created a very pleasant experience. I think you’re nuts – but your passion on the topic is clear and concise. You definitely know the topic.
