Gentlemen’s Hardware Camping Cutlery Spoon and Fork Folding Utensil Multitool

Last Modified: 12/04/2023

I received this Gentlemen’s Hardware Camping Cutlery Spoon and Fork Folding Utensil Multitool as a gift and I loved it instantly. It has all the tools I need on the trail. Please read more below.

Key features & benefits

  • Totally incredible price.
  • 7 tools in total.
  • The Multitool can be split in two, the knife with the spoon on one part and the fork on another.
  • Elegant design with a black handle.

What this Multitool includes

Here you have 7 tools (note on Amazon they mentioned 6 only), and those include:

  • knife,
  • spoon,
  • fork,
  • corkscrew,
  • foil cutter,
  • bottle opener,
  • can opener.
This is the Multitool in the folded state, 11 cm long, and the box in which it comes.

Note that at some places (e.g., on Amazon-UK) they call it Gentlemen’s Hardware Barbecue Tools, just to know that this is the same item.

What I like most

I have my old multitool of this type which I have been using for 30 years already. But it is much heavier, bigger, and the parts are not separable.

So here in this tool, you have a clever design – when the spoon and the fork are closed, they lock together the two halves of this tool and it looks as shown in the picture above.

Now, when you need the spoon, you open it and the structure is still kept together with the locking caused by the fork. Though you will notice that the connection is a bit loose, but this is still fully functional. The same is if you need the fork only; the structure will be locked in place with the spoon.

Here, the two parts are separated and the picture shows the sides with the black handle.

By opening both the spoon and the fork, you can split the two parts. So now you have one tool with the fork, and on the other, you can use either the spoon or more likely you will close it and open the knife which is on that half of the tool, so you will have a real spoon and a knife separately. I told you, it was a clever design, see the pictures.

This is the view from the other sides.

The half with the fork also has the corkscrew, the bottle opener, and the can opener. These two are on one single extension. The other half where you have the knife and the spoon also contains the foil cutter and a ring that you can use to attach the whole Multitool to the pack.

Note that all these elements open with a click sound, and you feel a spring effect when you open any of them in the working position and also when you close it. This is very similar to my Swiss Knife which I always have in the pocket. So these are nice details which show you a high-level craftsmanship.

The handle is a sort of a black synthetic material which feels soft on touch and it is not slippery and cold, I really like its design, see it in the picture above.

The fork extension is practically the size of a standard fork, the spoon is slightly smaller than a normal soup spoon.

I am writing this text in the mountains, doing some climbing in the Slovenian Alps. Just two days ago I was using this tool on the summit of Lipnica (there will be a text later about it here in the site), I was cutting the strudel, see the picture:

Final thoughts, rating, pros & cons

So far I am very happy with this Gentlemen’s Hardware Camping Cutlery Spoon and Fork Folding Utensil Multitool, using it the mountains these days. Shall let you know if I have any issues with it.

Once again, see its incredible price, this is a nice item as a gift for anybody who goes outdoors. As I mentioned above, I myself have received it as a present.

I plan to find a holster for this Multitool, so that I can attach it to my belt, pity they did not make one. Meanwhile, it is small enough to carry it in any pocket. See how I rate it:
