There are claims about hundreds of ferratas in the Dolomites. The reality is quite different; there are around 90 significant, named routes. I have presented all of them here on a single, comprehensive map.
Bivacco Bontadini and Ferrata delle Trincee Round Tour
The Bivacco Bontadini is very close to Passo Fedaia, and you can use it as a base to walk the Ferrata delle Trincee from the east side. You will have Marmolada with its glacier in sight all the time.
Monte Paterno (Paternkofel) Traverse: Innerkofler-De Luca Via Ferrata
I climbed Monte Paterno by walking from the car parking below Lago d’Antorno to Rifugio Locatelli and then to the summit. After that I traversed the mountain and descended toward Rifugio Lavaredo.
Climbing Cristallino d’Ampezzo and Ferrata Ivano Dibona
Cristallino d’Ampezzo and Ferrata Ivano Dibona tour is among the best tours you can have in the Dolomites. Here you have a detailed report from my round tour that also includes Bivacco Buffa di Perrero.
Sas Rigais West Ferrata Climb and Seceda Hike
I climbed Sas Rigais by walking from Daunëi parking and approached the summit from the west side ferrata and descended by the south side ferrata. After that I hiked to Seceda and walked back to the parking. This was a day in clouds, and here is my report.
