In this NEMO Galaxi 2P review, I present a 2-person 3-season freestanding backpacking tent built from very durable materials, which will provide the shelter you need. It has several nice features that set it apart from other tents.
The construction is based on two x-shaped looped poles, together with an additional brow pole, as you can see in the picture right. The brow is used for the attachment of the two sides of the tent, this makes the walls vertical and increases the space at the head height.
The upper part of the body is completely a mesh, good for ventilation and breathability. The two (relatively small) doors are also mesh which can be rolled up and fixed to the tent body by magnetic clips.
The fly is a robust 68D waterproof and seam-taped material. It comes with a storm flap over the zippers on the two vestibules.
The zipper has a nice feature that you can open it partly and keep that way as a vent; the opening created that way is supported by a short pole in such a way that it remains open, you can see it here on the right.
The two wings of the vestibule can be rolled sideways and attached to the fly to keep them out of the way.
Guy-outs are on each corner of the fly and you can stake the tent to the ground if necessary, but this is a free-standing tent suitable for pitching on any terrain.
The floor is a bath-tab type, completely waterproof durable 70 D material, and seam-taped. Inside the tent, you have two very big mesh pockets. Two light pockets are above the head.
The tent comes with a footprint. This is a great protection of the floor and an additional layer against the surface water. A nice added value in every sense. This implies that the tent can be used in a fast fly variant (fly, poles, and footprint), but think about bugs!

NEMO builds tents in many sizes, so if you need something very comfortable for family camping, please see this extraordinary NEMO Wagontop 6 tent.
