Columbia Sportswear Men Sleeker Jacket – Price With No Match

Columbia Sportswear men Sleeker jacket is a waterproof and breathable, fully seam taped durable nylon ripstop 2 layer jacket. It has LightRail zippers on pockets. The jacket is suitable for not too hard outdoor activities in wet conditions, and for daily life. Its price is absolutely without a match.

Description

Sleeker jacket for men.
Sleeker jacket for men.

This is a jacket that will keep you dry from elements. It looks good and the external material is pleasant. But it has no mesh liner inside and touching the waterproof membrane may be unpleasant for some.

Breathability is not its strongest feature, and I would not plan to use this jacket for hard physical activities.

If it is about fishing and hunting in wet conditions, or something similar, you will enjoy with this jacket. The same is if you use it for commuting and daily life.

The front zipper is one-way, protected by an external storm flap, and you have velcro tabs to fix the flap in place.

On the cuffs, you also velcro tabs for adjustability, no elasticity. Drawcords with toggles are on the hem.

The hood has three adjustment points, two on the sides of the face where you have drawcords with toggles, and a velcro tab on the back. It is helmet compatible and of a good size, with a brim on the front.

The hand-pockets are with LightRail zippers. In fact, they do not look like classical pockets, you have a mesh inside. So the pocket spaces are huge, and the opening is very long, most likely designed that way on purpose, to allow for ventilation.

This is because the jacket does not have pit zips. Due to this large mesh that makes pockets, the jacket is almost lined, but this is only on the front side and only partly.

The design is classic and it allows for insulation underneath the jacket. You can be sure you can have a fleece or vest, this will allow you to wear it in all seasons.

Conclusion

To conclude this text about Columbia Sportswear men Sleeker jacket, this is a good jacket, durable material, and definitely waterproof. It is ideal for everyday life and around town use, its design is such that you can add a lot of clothing underneath, so you can use it throughout the year. This is surely so in countries like Belgium where I am now, with a lot of rain and with mild winters.

But if you want a jacket for really hard outdoor activities, then I suggest you some other models where breathability is better. Some of them are given in the table above.

Note that there is also Sleeker jacket version for women. In the moment of writing this text, the women’s version is, in fact, the bestselling rain shell jacket on Amazon.

Check on Amazon.

Hi Jena, this is a good jacket indeed and great value for the price. It is waterproof and breathable enough for fishing. So no doubt this will be a great gift. All the best.
